Design Policy: LP Laser specializes in "one-off" designs that realize an individual customer's vision.  If you see a design in our gallery that you'd like to closely copy, we will need to contact them for permission, as each gun is done with the assumption that it will be the only one.  It is usually granted, but if a customer asks that it not be reused, it won't be.   We also will not do direct copies of designs that other shops have put out.  They've put a lot of work into them and should maintain control over them.  There are two other things that LP Laser won't engrave onto a marker: Profanity and sexually suggestive/explicit text or imagery.  We apologize for any inconvenience, and would be happy to refer you to a shop that will do designs like that if you are dead set on them.

  Process:

1. The customer contacts us with an idea for their design and any graphics they want included.  This can include pictures of other guns they've seen or examples from our proof gallery (link available on request, as it is very bandwidth intensive) or completed guns.

2. We let them know if what they are asking for is possible, and if it is a purely verbal description we provide a quick, rough proof to confirm that what they are trying to communicate is what we understand.

3. Once we are on the same page, the customer provides either a 50% non-refundable deposit, or their full payment (including a 50% non-refundable deposit, this is the option that most of our customers choose), and a side on picture of their marker at least 1024x768 pixels. This deposit covers a reasonable amount of FULL proofing of the graphic overlaid on the picture of their marker. Unfortunately, we cannot commit hours to graphic design that may be frivolous or be then handed to another engraving company for free.

4(a). Once the customer is satisfied with the design, they send in their marker and any outstanding balance of their payment, including tax and return shipping, and the graphic is then laser engraved permanently onto their marker.

4(b). Depending on how much of the marker the design covers, it may be necessary to remove electronic and pneumatic components from the marker (board, eyes, wires, solenoid, hoses). We will let the customer know in advance if this is necessary, and the customer can either do this themselves (recommended), or pay a disassembly and reassembly fee.

5. After the marker is engraved, the customer is emailed pictures, then it is packed in the same packaging it arrived in and returned to the customer.

DISCLAIMER:  The colouring and depth of focus field of the engraving is largely dependant on the type and thickness of anodizing.  Some markers may not attain the desired brightness of engraving, and markers with a large difference between the topmost and bottommost milling will not be able to maintain a clear burn through the full range.  The customer will take responsibility for any burn that falls short of perfection due to these issues.  The following markers are KNOWN to have worse than average reception of laser engraving: Bob Long Marqs with Dust finishes, "Evil" Shocker NXTs, CCM and Dye Dust Clear (silver) ano.  If your marker does not appear on that list, it does not mean that it will not have those issues, but that they have not been documented.  Lion's Pride will attempt to resolve any issues to the satisfaction of both parties in good faith and in the case of a grossly deficient burn or mechanical failure will provide a partial or full refund, however, all laser engraving should be understood to be done at the customers own risk.
